When we first transitioned our chickens from the brooder to the coop, I quickly realized I needed a safe solution to the bugs that were attracted to the coop. I researched online and tried a few things, and this natural insect spray was by far the best thing I could find! It works like actual MAGIC. I swear, I spray it all around the exterior and interior of the coop, focusing on the entryways and below the roosting rails, and within about an hour, all the insects have magically disappeared.
I also wanted a natural spray to use for cleaner in the coop – I regularly clean their roosting rails and the walls/studs inside the coop. This one has worked like a charm! It gets all the dirt and poop off the rails without too much elbow grease.
The best thing is that these can be made with the stuff sitting around your house! Assuming you have some basic essential oils on hand.
