This past weekend I got a spur of inspiration and decided to bake two different types of Christmas cookies to pack up in boxes and deliver to my friends, family, and neighbors before Christmas. I only had T-minus 5 days to Christmas, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me!!
I originally was inspired by Elisabeth and Butter on Instagram. Love her recipes and ideas! She had these two cookie recipes that loved DELICIOUS so of course I had to try it myself. The first was a Cake Batter Cookie and the second was a Peppermint Bark Chocolate Cookie. Click the links to find the full recipe on Elisabeth and Butter’s website. I usually don’t love chocolate cookies, but the peppermint bark cookie is to die for!!! Especially if you love a soft cookie that stays soft for a few days. Highly recommend!
Let me tell you, getting all the ingredients from the grocery stores this time of year was not for the faint of heart. The traffic is REAL y’all. And of course everywhere was sold out of peppermint extract so I actually ended up having to Amazon Fresh order it – it showed up at my house only two hours after ordering, so it worked out in the end!
The boxes I also ordered from Amazon, and I got this beautiful red ribbon, and the cute stickers from Michael’s. I loved the simplicity of the white box, and the pop of red, but I also can’t resist a cute sticker so I just went for it!
Yesterday I got to run around town and deliver these goodies! My car was overflowing with cookie boxes but it was fun to play Santa for the day. Merry Christmas everybody!
