We are hosting a Friendsgiving this week and I have quite literally spent about 4 weeks preparing!! I cannot express how much I love a good tablescape and thanksgiving menu. This is an annual tradition for us, and this will be the fourth year we are hosting, with the exception of last year! I was recovering from a surgery and didn’t think hosting was a great idea, BUT we are back on track this year and can’t wait! I’m breaking down all the things we are doing for our friendsgiving, hopefully some of them can inspire you for yours!

Tablescape & Place Settings

As you may have figured out by now, I am really bougie when it comes to my home and my dinner parties. However, I am on a budget!  SO I went to the Dollar Tree first and you would not believe the gems I was able to find there!! I found crisp white salad and dinner plates, gold chargers, and these amazing crystal wine glasses. They are real glass and heavy! They feel like really expensive pieces but they were literally a dollar each.

Next, I went to Amazon for my tablescape supplies like little white pumpkins, white candlesticks and glass holders, white linen napkins and gold napkin rings (pictured below). I like Amazon because they are usually the cheapest option for these types of items, and they ship super quick. I am not a patient person & need something in my hands ASAP!

Menu

We’ve tried potlucks before, but this year we are going a different direction and doing the menu ourselves! I may regret it but right now I’m excited about it! We have about 25 people coming, so I have a LOT of food to make. Below is the menu I’ve settled on ~

(The photos included below are my inspiration from Pinterest and linked to their source on Pinterest)

Appetizers – Cheese Board

Entree – Turkey and Ham

Sides – Sweet Potato Casseroles, Corn, Rolls, Cranberry Sauce, Mac & Cheese, & Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

Dessert – Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, & Apple Pie

Games & Activities

We love to play some fun games for our Friendsgiving after dinner to keep the party going! Our absolute favorite to play with a large group is Werewolf! It’s fairly easy to learn and so much fun with a big group. Another idea we had is to set up a fire in our firepit after dinner & a game! I’m really looking forward to smores & hot chocolate around the fire after dinner! Having games & activities set up for after dinner can really mix up your Friendsgiving & ensure all your guests stick around and have a great time!
